West Jordan, Utah – Architects, engineers, contractors, students, and any other interested party will have the opportunity to visit, tour, and interact with CoreBrace, LLC in West Jordan, Utah as they host a SteelDay 2011 event on September 23.
SteelDay 2011, hosted by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), is the third annual national event dedicated to providing accessibility to the latest happenings in the structural steel industry. SteelDay events such as facility tours, educational seminars, and jobsite visits are scheduled across the U.S. to showcase how the structural steel industry contributes to build America. Last year's SteelDay events were held at more than 190 different locations all over the country and more than nine out of 10 hosts said they planned to participate again in 2011.
"CoreBrace, LLC and its employees are pleased to participate in SteelDay 2011. Attendees will have an opportunity to witness the fabrication of Buckling Restrained Braces which are engineered and fabricated in West Jordan, Utah, and are shipped all across the USA and to select areas internationally. This building component is extremely effective in the preservation of buildings and properties during an earthquake or seismic event." Dieter Klohn, President, CoreBrace, LLC.
CoreBrace, LLC will be hosting a facility tour at its West Jordan location: 5789 West Wells Park Road. The event is free of charge and will be held from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Register online at www.corebrace.com. During the tour attendees will see, experience, and learn about seismic protection utilizing Buckling Restrained Braces (BRBs). As concerns over the economy linger, building professionals want to reduce their risk and control their costs more than ever. Increasingly they also need to be sensitive to the environmental impacts of their projects. This event will show that building with BRBs is a very effective strategy toward meeting these goals and ensures a successful project is delivered on time and on budget.
CoreBrace, LLC manufactures Buckling Restrained Braces (BRBs) which are structural elements capable of absorbing and dissipating the energy imparted to a building during a seismic event. This highly ductile system has been implemented in hundreds of buildings for earthquake risk mitigation in the United States and internationally. CoreBrace holds seven U.S. patents for revolutionary and technically superior BRBs. CoreBrace's expert staff works closely with owners, architects, engineers, fabricators, and erectors to meet their design and construction requirements and is committed to providing braces to the highest level of quality.
